A Look Back

Last year at this time, when we were preparing for 2021, we were optimistic about life and the home industry going back to normal soon. We had just endured the unprecedented impact of a pandemic which included shutting the doors to James Décor for the first time in 50 years. I was so happy to be back to work designing and seeing my friends, clients and families faces coming into the store again. We, along with others, prepared for a busy 2021 to satisfy the pent-up demand from the forced shut down, but in no way could we have anticipated the pandemic throwing retail distribution channels into a tailspin or the massive material shortages.

I have learned a lot about how a pandemic impacts our lives and I’m still learning, but it's made me realize how important interior design is now, more than ever before. Our homes are places of comfort, of security, of refuge. For many people, homes do double-duty as both living and work spaces. Now, there’s a more urgent need for homes to be both beautiful and functional. You, our clients, know all of this and your continued support and the patience you have shown us does not go unnoticed.

I will always believe in what we do here at James Decor. I want you to feel special, taken care of and inspired every time you come in. It’s my hope for 2022 that you all continue to see that brands we work with and the exceptional craftsmanship they offer, paired with outstanding customer service by our highly educated staff will always outweigh the uncertainty of shopping online. It’s my hope that you’re all able to create spaces that you truly love in 2022 and that you get to spend more time with the people you care for in a beautiful home you love.

Thank you again for your support, your friendship and your patience.

Happy Holidays!
